The lines. The beauty. The struggle. The obsession. The friendships. The growl. The laughter. The community. The practice. Every day.
We believe in handbalance as an art form, a form of self-expression and self-exploration. We believe that everyone can learn handstands, and that community is invaluable - for support, inspiration and guidance. We believe that there are as many right approaches to training handstands as there are bodies, and that our practice provides infinite learning possibilities. We believe in a place for everyone within the handstand community, whether you are just beginning or a seasoned athlete and performer, no matter where you come from or where you want to go.
Call for Submissions
The Handstand Press is curated in collaboration with a diverse range of contributors from the community for the community.
Its content relies on your voice.
We want to fill our pages with insights into your practice, your approach to teaching handstands, your artistic process for creating handbalance performances and your anecdotal stories of your life as a handbalancer. We want to hear from total beginners and seasoned athletes, from life-long performers and retirement hobbyists, and everything in between.
We accept submissions for written work, photography, poetry, art and illustration.
